Hi,
Im still listing my inventory, about 0.001% there I think and I just got to a
sealed but badly damaged boxed set, 31032 red creatures from 2015.
Looks like the box was squashed and maybe got wet on part of the outside long
ago, but there is no damp smell.
WWYD? Should I break the seal and take the bags out and check on the manual or
describe it in the listing?
It's listed new by other new sellers for £41-£101 and sold new £38-£42ish.
I also have a 75975 hedwig, which is in almost the exact same condition as someone
else's who is selling it as new, despite a bag open for £26.62 after 25%
sale, and they are using this description "100% Complete, all parts in mint
condition. minifig great. bag 1 opened, bags 2,3 & 4 still sealed. instructions
in mint condition. sticker sheet mint. box in good condition, opened r/h flap,
some minor wear and a couple of small marks."
I'm missing the stickers but I can buy those in, is this seller doing it
right? bag 1 has the smaller sealed bags still inside and nothing appears to
have been used at all.
I’d open and check the instruction booklets, and whether a bag got crushed &
opened & lost some parts.
The box is garbage. Keeping it just to be able to say it’s Complete may be a
bit disingenuous.
I think I'd go for new complete (but not sealed) as the condition, include
the box but say it is heavily damaged. Maybe also put ** ideal for building,
not for sealed box collectors**. Keeping the box is necessary to list as complete
and there are buyers that want to build sets like this. Without the box, it would
have to be listed as new incomplete or used complete, both of which might get
filtered out by someone wanting a new one to build.

I agree with Yorbrick.
We have sold sets that have had badly damaged boxes (not nearly as damaged as
yours though) but still had all the seals intact. We just made sure we detailed
the damage and would also include the ***Great for building*** line and put
them up at a price that was lower then most all other sellers. We have not had
any complaints by our customers.

Open the garbage box, recycle it, Verify the condition of the contents and sell
w/o the box or part it out.
