On June 20, I placed an order for a new, complete 79008 for $70 Canadian Dollars.
I have been trying to complete the LEGO Lord of the Rings collection, and I already
have the ship in this set, but figured that since the one I was considering ordering
was complete, that it would be an excellent way to obtain the minifigures from
this set. So I placed the order.
When I received the invoice giving me the total price including shipping and
the opportunity to pay, the seller sent me the following message: "sorry
my misktake i dont hve put this item on the good place it is only the sail set
new in bag not the complete set."
Obviously, I was somewhat disappointed and filed and Order Cancellation Request.
Now, it is June 24, and I have heard nothing from the seller and the order has
not been cancelled. This is the first time I have had trouble placing an order
on BrickLink and I have a few questions. First, have I taken the correct course
of action? Secondly, can the seller file an NPB against me if the order is currently
in OCR status? I'm not 100% sure of all the polices about NPBs, how and when
and why you can file one, but I know for sure that I don't want my buying
privileges revoked. Lastly, how much time can one expect between the time an
OCR is filed and the time the order is actually cancelled?
Based on the tone of the message I received from the seller, I am hopeful that
this situation will be resolved soon, but I just wanted to get some other folk's
advice. Thanks in advance.
if after a week or so the seller hasn't responded file an NRS as an order
cancel request has to be approved by the seller but a buyer can complete an NRS
if the seller never responds. I wouldn't worry about your buying privileges
getting revoked tho as it takes 3 complete NPB for that to happen and its unlikely
the seller would file one in this case
