Anybody ever get a post carrier rate adjustment when going to print a shipping
label with PayPal/ShipStation. I just got this now when printing labels. There
are 2 dated June 15th and 18th 2023. Not sure what this means but it is adding
$1.12 to my shipping cost for a label. I have only had a problem with 1 label
ever having insufficient postage due and that was disputed and resolved as the
post office messed up the weight. I paid the difference because I needed the
label but is there a way to check on this?

I've had a few and they were either my fault or an error with the USPS scanner.
There should be a link at the bottom of the email if you want to protest it.
Here's one from a few weeks ago that was in a sizable box, and I'm betting
dollars to doughnuts that part of the box that was hanging off the scale was
resting on something that lifted it just enough. WHen I checked the order weight
and tare weight of that box it was indeed 2.1 lbs.
The other boo-boos on my part where when I used an old USPS Priority FLAT RATE
box instead of the USPS Priority box to ship some 32x32 plates. Flat rate boxes
have stupid high rates compared to the plain Priority ones, so when the flat
rate bar code was cross referenced with the label it kicked back a $6 rate adjustment.

I’ve never had any issues like this, but I go through USPS directly when I make
my shipping labels not PayPal/Shipstation etc.

Isn’t that one of the most expensive ways to buy shipping labels in the USA?
I’m not from the USA so may be mistaken but arnt companies like pirate ship significantly
cheaper then direct from usps?

Very very much so. Pirateship and Shipstation are much cheaper and generally
lock step in pricing but every now and then with UPS there can be a sizable difference.

Yes. Most the time they adjust the package from ground advantage to priority
and the post office charges me the extra $. I think the size might be off. Even
when its in a small 6x9 bubble mailer. Now I usually try and use boxes.

Less money to get from an order. Oh well.
You can appeal the adjustment - I've gotten hit with the adjustment 3 times
and appealed 3 times. Won twice and the third is pending.
