What do you store random pieces in? Every time I get an order of pieces it annoys
me since it pays much less while I have to do much more work finding the pieces.

It really depends on how you are currently storing them

For me I, over time invested in 6 64 drawer alto-mils and I just put the parts
that I’m adding in an empty draweror consolidate them with pre-existing lots.
That tends to result in drawers like this (see image below) but as long as you
don’t have to dump out the drawer to find the parts it’s not too full. That’s
just how I do it though and I’m sure there’s a more efficient method out there

Thanks. This would probably be a good investment.

Anything I don't have bulk of is sorted into those same type bins. Mini-fig
parts by body part( legs, torso, yellow head, flesh head, other head, etc) all
other parts are sorted by color category.(all reds, all browns, all blacks etc...)

I have 9 26-drawer Akro-Mils cabinets and 3 24-drawer. I also have some smaller
cabinets (I got vintage bakelite ones to store the parts I use for completing
minifigures so they're clearly separated from the ones storing parts for
sale).

This is good for about 20K parts in 3K lots.
