I purchased some Lego string, for what set i think is irrelevant but i thought
i was buying genuine new Lego string.
The items arrived and i could tell straight away that the strings were not Lego,
the seller eventually got back to me and admitted the string was not from Lego,
it was a generic replacement, so off a spool of some description.
So my question, do we sell fake none Lego on this site, no matter what it is?

If the seller admitted to intentionally selling you fake Lego (which it sounds
like he did), you should report him with your evidence and his store should be
closed.
That's unacceptable and hurts the reputation of all Bricklink sellers.

Whether it’s Lego or not I don’t think many people are going to give you string
for nothing.
Not sure what you are asking/suggesting here.
