| why are incomplete sets being removed and told they need to be listed as custom
item by Admin - are my comments to thorough?
Reason: Item is custom but not listed as a custom item

Have examined both the Seller TOS (https://www.bricklink.com/v3/terms_of_service_seller.page)
and the Item For Sale Condition help page (https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=102),
I cannot locate anything that speaks to why your listing was altered by Admin
action. From what you've disclosed, you have met the criteria for an Incomplete
set, used or not.
My only (unasked for) counsel would be to maintain patience. Perhaps a more seasoned
seller will spot something that I missed (that happens a lot  ), or when Admin
does get back to you, it may all make sense.

seem to work (thank you 404). I guess the persistent will have to paste in the
links themselves. I love how on MS Edge (what edge I'm uncertain), pasting
a URL into the obvious space brings up only an annoying Bing results search,
which you must then select from and click.

There’s a Preview button to do that. And then you can continue editing your
post, for instance to put a space before the closing parenthesis

Maybe they didn’t understand the set was only missing one minifig (and its stand)
and that the first R2-D2 was a big brick-built one?

Maybe they misinterpreted "only bag 2 opened to remove Malek/stand".
They could have interpreted that you are only selling bag 2, and that this bag
was opened to remove Malek. Maybe write: "All bags still sealed except bag
2 from which Malek/stand were removed"
