Members who created accounts here on BL many years ago never had a place to put
our phone numbers. I don't remember the date, but at some point BL decided
to add a data field for members' phone numbers. However, they messed it
up and only let new members have that data field.
However, there is still a way to add a phone number. If I go to My Personal
Information page ( https://www.bricklink.com/pref_address.asp ) there is a data
field for "Address 2 (Optional)." Some people need that second address
line, but I do not, so I put my phone number there.

Algogia’s account is more recent than mine and I can add a phone number in the
Telephone field (see pic in my answer).
But one needs to go to XP for that.
