Is anyone else having trouble making a credit card payment through Stripe?
The system that Bricklink uses? I really do not want to use my Paypal account.
Thanks

Two customers made it to the checkout and are waiting for better times.
Six customers cancelled during checkout.
Stripe support says:
Happy to assist you. All transaction has an "The customer has not entered
their payment method." It must be missing a payment method on their end invoice
API.

Re: Stripe Payment for credit cards is NOT WORKING
We noticed TWICE yesterday and today, the same order items being removed from
the Shop inventory, then maybe half an hour later coming back to the Shop.
Which happens only when someone tries to pay and doesn't arrive to.
This is very rare here.
And I just checked also we didn't receive ANY Stripe payment for 2 days approx.
Unfortunately, the buyer didn't contact us for now.

Hi all,
No judgement whether the problem is BL or Stripe, but expect more possible
disruptions for the future as security for online payments is getting more and
more strict. So platforms like BL will have to change coding in order to get
payments through.
E.g. this is what my payment provider (Worldline) sent me last week as an announcement
:
"
IMPORTANT UPDATE: VISA data fields change from 'recommended or optional'
to 'mandatory'
VISA has just announced 5 newly mandatory data fields for 3-D Secure authentication
requests to be effective as of 12th of August 2024.
Please note that those mandatory fields are requested in addition to the current
mandatory fields for VISA only.
The 5 newly mandatory fields announced by VISA that will become applicable as
of 12th of August 2024 are:
- Browser IP Address (when applicable or Device IP Address)
- Browser Screen Height (when applicable)
- Browser Screen Width (when applicable)
- CardHolder Name
- Cardholder Phone Number or Cardholder Email Address.
Who is affected by this regulation?
This announcement concerns all integration methods, meaning that all merchants
processing VISA transactions are affected.
Is there any action required from me?
With all integration methods being impacted, make sure that the mandatory fields
will be included in your 3-D Secure authentication requests by the effective
date (12th of August 2024).
"
I don't use Worldline for Bricklink purposes, but if Worldline has to change
things as requested by VISA, so will Stripe have to do the same things and by
extension BL will have to provide this extra info in order for operations to
pass.
No judgement whether the problem is BL or Stripe, but expect more possible
disruptions for the future as security for online payments is getting more and
more strict.
Internet was for Freedom when I discovered it with the others
But then it'd always been worse and worse.
