I have two of the following part, yet BrickLink does not even list that the color
was ever issued. Is this an issue with BL or am I sitting on a fortune?

My mistake. It's actually Sand Red, at it came out only in one set in 2001.
The color is very similar to DarkTan ... at least to my eyes.
