Hi, i have a question. If i declared the shipping cost from 3-5kg with a price
X and from 5-10 kg with a price Y. So if a person buys a Legoset with 4.85kg
and pay me only the price X for shipping. But packed well are 2kg more in complete
so I have to pay the price Y. How can I handle that? Thanks

Hi,

- Select the shipping method
- scroll to the bottom to 'Restrictions and Adjustments'
- select 'package adjustment' and add a 'base weight'. In your
case 2kg.

If the set + base weight is over the limit of X, it will jump to Y

It's a sellers risk. See it as a lesson curve.
In your shipping methods enter a % under "Apply weight margin" for packaging
materialweight.

It is up to you how you declare it in the table. If you know a 3kg order is going
to need up to 2kg of your packaging, then you set the 5kg threshold to be up
to 3kg instead. That way, a 3kg order will be just under 5kg when packed, and
a 4kg order will be in the next postage bracket.
