Anyone have advice on transferring stickers or re-aligning them? In one case
I want to transfer a sticker from one piece to another. In another case I want
to fix crooked stickers. I thought maybe heating it up might be a good method
to get it loose without losing the stickiness.

Razor blade works perfectly. Then spray the back of the sticker and the surface
of the brick you want to put it on with windex. This will allow you to move the
sticker around until you are happy with the placement. Then use a paper towel
to remove the excess. It will dry perfectly smooth and straight.

My chosen method is an exacto knife to loosen a corner, then dull tweezers to
slowly lift the sticker. It's probably wise not to resell items with repositioned
stickers as they are more likely to lift at the corners eventually.
Some older stickers won't lift at all and simply break off at the color changes.
I can't find a link right now but there is a guy on YouTube out of the UK
who talks about using some kind of "hot tea" method to fix up and move
stickers.
