A week back one of my listings was deleted because a complaint was filed. After
re-wording the listing (to solve the issue), I re-sublimated it.

In the process of checking the listing, I took a peek at other sellers selling
the same set. One of those listings (in the comments) says that the set had been
sitting in their inventory in excellent condition for 30 years. Considering the
set was was released in 2001-2002, that is simply not possible. I’ve taken no
steps to suppress their listing, but it feels like hyperbole has exceeded something
that is reasonable.

Any thoughts ?

I am sure it is annoying to have a listing removed and have to deal with correcting
it.

But, I don't see the harm in the other seller's message. Perhaps this
is just one set from a collection they had been working on for 30 years? Do they
have similar comments on all their listings? The mistake in years does not lessen
or increase the value of the set, so what does it matter?

If you feel strongly about it you could always send a direct message before reporting
it, they may have made a typo.

I've had sets stored away for years with little to no change in the appearance
of the outer box. Granted these are small sets, but if properly stored a set
would last years without any change.

Looking at your store, are you talking about the Adidas bus and minifigs?

Cheers ...
