but the want list does not update without deleting the part then re-adding with

As in click on update, but it doesn't update the new number or notes.

I just tried:
— from the page of a part,
— add the part to a WL, with qty 1,
— once the dialog is closed, re-open it, set qty 2, click update,
it worked.
And I also tried with a remark and then editing the remark: it worked too.
Are you doing it from another page (an inventory?) or is there other problems
with your WLs (one with a duplicate maybe)?

I just went through multiple wanted lists today update over 100 lots and close
to 1000 parts with out issue.
