| Hi there,
I am new to Bricklink.
I have a wanted list and can see how to use auto select to complete my wanted
list as a series of carts based on the shortest list of sellers to complete my
full list.
One of the items I want is a particular set of instructions, which comes in two
parts/sets. I want both sets 1 and 2 of these.
When I use the auto-select button to find the shortest list of sellers to complete
my wanted list, it's pretty awesome apart from one issue. A seller has listed
the set 2 only of the instructions I want, and the auto select thinks that item
is now found. I'd like to exclude that particular (set 2 only) item as it's
not what I want and then resubmit auto select to create a shortlist of sellers
that sells the full wanted list.
Help!

IIUC, it’s the same item (instructions) but it appears in two sets?
If there’s only one entry in the catalogue, there’s no way to differentiate the
sets they came from but by comments added by the sellers.
It’s like saying you want one
from a particular set and only from this set (not from other sets, not from PaB…).
If I understood wrong, please tell us exactly the items you want, it will be
clearer

I think he means that the instructions comes as two books.
For the OP, the only way to exclude that seller, is to stop list them. Then that
seller will not come up in any of your searches.
Also, search the forum for previous help on wanted lists. There is a lot of good
information on how to search and to buy (i.e. don't use Easy Buy).
