I currently have four outgoing orders that were sent nearly 3 weeks ago.
My issue isn't with the orders or shipping. I am concerned that none of the
four bricklink members have tried to contact me - being so long i'd assume
at least one of them would have.
This by itself is easily explained, however I have sent messages to each of them.
The messages were flagged - for piece of mind on my part- but checking my outbox
i can see they have not been read.

I also sent another flagged message to another buyer - regarding an important
issue.
This too was flagged and has also yet to be read.

I assume it is common for people to not check messages - but 5 people?
I also assume that it is common for people to not update orders or inquire about
them - but 4 people?
For over 2 weeks?

It's starting to feel like the probability of all this doesn't add up.
I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this kind of anomally?

I am aware of issues regarding e-mails currently being reported. Would this be
similar.
I'm concerned that buyers are trying to contact me but can't, I'm
concerned because I can't ship a current order without additional confirmation.

Without a cohesive messaging system - selling anything is a large risk.

  Without a cohesive messaging system - selling anything is a large risk.

Some people simply don't go back to BrickLink after they've ordered.

We don't use and rely on the messaging system we send (eventual) e-mails.
Direct e-mail is more reliable (and easier) - in most cases.

But in case of difficult problem, you may even double it with a message so it
stays in the Order, like for NPB, NSS or such.

Do you mean that you shipped the orders out and you're waiting on feedback
from the buyers?

I know it can be a bit annoying for a seller to see that things aren't quite
completed (or at least not marked completed by buyers), but my recommendation
would be to file the orders and forget them unless/until the buyer(s) say something.
Don't bother trying to contact them.

Yes, OP shouldn't try to contact / bother buyer after shipment.

It's a VERY interesting site, with (as of right now) 1 quality article per

For most sellers only 50-70 % of orders result in feedback and similar ever get
marked as completed. Nothing to worry about
