Your LEGO® account will be merged with our loyalty program
Is this legitimate, or is this something trying to pretend they are TLG ?
TIA, Nita Rae
I think it is legitimate. Did you reserve your LEGO® account nickname? In November,
the BrickLink administration announced that they are in the process of creating
a universal login system for BrickLink and LEGO.com.

Of course, it never hurts to check the sender address to confirm that it is in
fact from LEGO.com since attackers sometimes take advantage of these kinds of
situations to steal people's login credentials.

Got one too a few hours ago.

That’s not about BrickLink (yet), that’s about LEGO & VIP.
That would mean everybody who has a LEGO account will be a VIP now.

They clearly say that nothing changes but the merging of the ToS(es?). So, as
usual, when a ToS changes, they give you the possibility to accept or refuse.
So, your options are:
1. Accept the “new” ToS, by not doing anything now. Logging sometimes after
August something (I don’t have the e-mail any more) will be the only explicit
action meaning you accept.
2. Refuse the “new” ToS, by deregistering. And you will be given opportunity
to redeem the VIP points you may still have.
(1) doesn’t need you to log in.
For (2), I don’t even remember seeing a big button to go and unregister.
As usual, when you receive that kind of messages, the thing to do if you want
to log in is to log in on your own, not by following links in the e-mail.

i don't know..
i think Loyalty was for general lego fans to explore the site & have fun, VIP
was a points rewards program where you earn points for purchases to get free
stuff from Lego
My mistake, you made it sound like you did know; "Lego is merging their Loyalty
Program with their VIP Rewards program."

From Reading the information on it on the Lego site it looks like they are doing
this to separate the under 18 from adults. Looks like under 18 have had access
to a "Lego Account" but not VIP and now they will have to use the parents
program with the parents authorization to access an account.

That’s the first bit of info that begins to paint a clearer picture. Thanks !
