I just found these two plate 6x8. They are marked Pat Pend. But in different
places. Pict 2 and 3 shows Pat Pend on the plate that has a strange side edge
and nr 4 is og the one with a hole. Made some light drawing on pic 4 to show
where is the hole.

is these in the brick link catalog?
The “strange side edge” seems like a short shot (not enough plastic when it was
moulded). Or it may simply have been damaged (and it’s old enough one can’t
really tell the difference).
The difference in positions of the inscriptions may be for different reasons:
different moulds, different positions in the same mould….
“Pat. pend.” parts don’t have their own catalogue entry. Sellers generally just
add it in the descriptions.
Do you think the hole in the one on the left was made by LEGO?
Because, AFAICT, there’s only

Ok- I'upload som more close up pictures - maybe that will shed some light
on it.
1 but it does not look worn down or broken
Like SylvainLS wroth short shot (not enough plastic when it was
moulded).
2 it's very good drillig if not
It drilled, you can see that in your picture. When you Mold a part you get a
nice and clean hole yours arent.
Probably some one that made a MOC and did use the old steering toll
