As a former US Air Force enlisted member, I find this statement disingenuous.
It is a promo for your store. You are hoping to drive people to you store for
sales.
Promotion: (noun): Advertising; publicity.
Cory, I appreciate that you are doing this but saying it is not a promo when
it is, is not being straight forward with us and IMO belittles the original purpose
of Memorial Day.

Maybe you should not look for the easiest way. I would suggest volunteering
to a veterans organization. Write letters to your congress critters imploring
them to fix the VA hospital system. Implore the governments to stop the constant
wars, in our name, so we don't have to have memorial day for any MORE
veterans.

I, too, obviously, have an emotional investment in anything related to veterans
and their families. It should not be a time of "Memorial day sales!"
but, rather, a time of silent reflection on what was given earnestly. They fought
for us and when they get back home, if they get back, they often do not get what
was promised to them, or have to once again fight the bureaucracy for what they
deserve. Let's try to ensure this does not happen anymore.

Very well said.
I also feel for the brave Ukrainians that are fighting for their freedom. This
is their "greatest generation." I have thoughts that American may never
see another "greatest generation" even if it is needed.
