Prices for my all my policies have risen dramatically:
Business: Up 40% (The Hartford, through an independent agent) They will be getting
a call tomorrow.
Home: Up 45% (USAA)
Auto: Up 28% (USAA)
Is anyone else seeing these types of increases?
I canceled my auto insurance (Nationwide) in March 2023 because the monthly rate
went into the triple digits (ridiculous for someone on disability and currently
unemployed), and I also sold my car. Now I drive my mother's old car (insured
through Progressive, which is MUCH cheaper than Nationwide), and I use the extra
money left over to (of course) buy more LEGO on BrickLink.
My father has Farmers and his went up 59% (so he cancelled all his policies with
them and went to Allstate). I have State Farm and mine only increased 4% which
is about normal. Last year it actually went down by 2%, that rarely happens!
