Anybody can identify this part? Or is this a prototype?

I would say that it's a prototype of what would eventually become part 3040p01,
which was only produced in black from 1987-2000. The part in your picture has
a similar design on the slope, but other than the three red squares, the colors
don't match.

I would say that it's a prototype of what would eventually become part 3040p01,
which was only produced in black from 1987-2000. The part in your picture has
a similar design on the slope, but other than the three red squares, the colors
don't match.

Could be a misprint or an early print to see if the colors worked.
