I might be late on this one but I have a 3937 hinge brick that the two sides
where the pivot goes are opposite. I can put the hinge piece in but it will not
go down because the right, facing it, is backward. The date on the bottom is
4-14. not sure what set it was from as i bought a bunch and am sorting them.

This error was reported to have been found in set 71767, so it could have been
in any set around that time period. I also have seen such error parts years ago,
so that must have been an earlier mould maintenance mistake.
Since these error parts made it into sets on at least two occasions, I expect
that many were made. The mold was probably used for a few days, with one of the
mold cavities producing error bricks, before the error was detected.
There could be thousands out there, but compared to the amount of 3937 parts
out there it is only a small percentage.
