| I'd like to see better communication between the Wanted List and Orders to
help track what I'm after and what I have ordered. Currently it all needs
to be done manually and as a result I have accidentally ordered the same set
of parts for a project multiple times.
An example of improved functionality; if I place an order that contains a piece
on my Wanted Lists the order system could add a remark saying how many have been
ordered and the order number (with a link to the order if possible). If the piece
appears on multiple lists it would add the remark to them all.
I'd also like to be able to automatically update my Want and Have numbers
in my Wanted Lists when I Complete an order. The simplest implementation would
allow me to nominate which Wanted List I want to update; a more complex implementation
would be smart enough to match Completed orders against all or multiple selected
Wanted Lists.
Thanks for reading,
Andrew

I have been informed that BrickStore is the way to go for this kind of functionality

Who did that in a private message?!!!
I mean, yes, really - you can manage yourself your collection, wanted-list(s),
update, change things, get avg/min/max price, remove items from placed orders
etc, everything saved locally on your PC.
I'd be happy BrickLink to provide this service, but right now it's not.
Hoping it helped?

It already exists but it’s the other way around and it’s stupid.
Go to a Wanted List, click Apply Order: it will propose you a list of orders
to “apply.”
Only the orders with items that match the WL will be shown.
Choose and validate an order and the Have fields will be changed (bought quantity
added).
The main problem is that it has no memory of previous applications. You can
even apply the same order multiple times to the same list.
There might also be problems with lots in the colour N/A (means “any” in a WL).
I’m not sure how Apply Order handles that, whether all coloured ordered lots
match a wanted N/A lot, or only one (which one?) or none….
