I’ve not been there ( France ) but the images look similar to me too.

Nice and grey but dry, rained and hailed the previous two days.
Less than an hour later the mount and castle had almost disappeared into the
mist.

Reminds me of the “fog” by James Herbert, an author I used to read, not done
so for some time now.

I like to think Stephen King's mist is all of life passed on and reunited,
and the monsters and demons are the exhalations of evil as the steam purifies

I could've captured a beautiful picture in direct comparison to yours, but
I was on a time-crunch at the time -I got these today.
