Hello everybody,

unfortunately, I find no possibility to read the sub categories (like the Collectable
Minifigures Series) using the API:

https://www.bricklink.com/v3/api.page?page=get-category-list

there is a parent_id field for retrievin the hierarchy but none of the sub categories
are returned.
Am I missing a hidden switch?

Addendum:
On top of this, even if I call
/categories/1248
(Series 24 Minifigure)
the resulting category has parent_id 0

Did you find a way to get the proper category?

I am looking at 10350-1 Tudor Corner. The set page shows this crumbtrail (category):
Catalog: Sets: Creator: Creator Expert: Modular Buildings Collection: 10350-1

The api (https://api.bricklink.com/api/store/v1/items/SET/10350-1) says the category
for 10350-1 is

{
"meta" : {
"description" : "OK",
"message" : "OK",
"code" : 200
},
"data" : {
"no" : "10350-1",
"name" : "Tudor Corner",
"type" : "SET",
"category_id" : 171,
"image_url" : "//img.bricklink.com/SL/10350-1.jpg",
"thumbnail_url" : "//img.bricklink.com/S/10350-1.jpg",
"weight" : "3713.00",
"dim_x" : "55.50",
"dim_y" : "37.80",
"dim_z" : "13.20",
"year_released" : 2025,
"is_obsolete" : false
}
}

171 is the root category "Creator". I can not find any endpoint that
returns "Modular Buildings Collection"

The only way I even know of "Modular Buildings Collection" is from the
catalog download categories.txt

Has anyone figured out how to get parent/child categories from the endpoints?

My only lead is to use the Sets.txt file as it has the names that I can look
up and build the hierarchy:

171|Creator / Creator Expert / Modular Buildings Collection|10350-1|Tudor Corner|2025|3713|55.5
x 37.8 x 13.2
