Like, what was purchased, the shipping and receiving addresses, and if those
parts were added back to the store?

They shouldn't share anything like that with you. If you believe wrongdoing
then report it with your evidence.

Sorry, that's what I meant. I personally don't need to know but I think
it would be worth someone's time to peek behind the curtain for the sake
of the community.
I can’t think of a reason someone would fake orders. They’d still be paying PayPal
and bricklink fees. Is there something I’m missing about any benefit that would
be worth the cost?

Placing then cancelling the order would prevent fees but still allow feedback
to be given, so someone could be doing that to give themselves fake positive
feedback.
