| ...and it got me wondering. Does anyone know if someone has made a big Lego city
without using parts introduced after 1980ish? That would be fun to see,

Janey Red Brick and friends built every scene/every page of the 6000 book not
too many years ago. I believe they used only parts featured in the book, so
all 1980ish.
Sorry, I dunno if photos exist.

I built all the idea book and displayed it in part in 2012 and complete 2013
and 2014. Missing from the pictures are the antenna which were left at home...

the hardest - but not most expensive was the large 10 x 20 bricks 700

that were no widely available in the US and used multiple times (I think 7 or
8)
I also created scenes from the catalog the following year

And perhaps the same year and/or year after every city set from the 80s. There
is a video somewhere but the pictures are lacking.
It was fun. The set up was time consuming. I still have all the 6000 items, but
have sold most of the 80s sets.
