I have alot of issues with image and colours (sorry admins but thankyou for
your patience!) so before I add this image could people tell me which one would
work best for pearl gold or if i should make the image light or darker. Thanks!

I have a pearl gold c-3po, and I think you should make it just a bit darker.

I think it is perfect, and I would suggest the slightly darker one looks nicer.
Nice job, Jason!
(And I wasn't paid off for this statement by one Nubs_Select who favorited
my non-existent store.)

this dark tan one is now one I'm not sure if its good
might look better with a white background - with the black background it looks
closer to tan than dark tan
the forums don't like the white background for this part
No, the forum does not like the transparent background in your file.
Problem should be solved if you save a copy as jpg before uploading to the forum
(that could reduce the image quality, so keep your original file).

that's what i did but then it made the image background black

My advice on patterned parts is to show them at less of an angle than this. It's
good to show a bit of the side so we can see what part this is, but the pattern
side should take up the majority of the image. This makes it much easier to identify
when scanning through the thumbnail images.

I was trying to get a similar angle to other ones i saw in the catalogue but
i guess after so many attempts (like 20+ photos taken and seriously considered
for the part) I must have make the angle worse

I may have to take some of your advice. I’d love to fix some of my older photographs
of rare parts someday.

Or is it master and padawans?
That too. I have a few 2x10s and Very Light Orange parts that could always use
better catalog photos, even if only a handful of people will ever see them in
person.

A master, a padawan, and a scrappy acolyte who doesn't follow directions.
