Hello,

I was recently adding a set to my store inventory. I was adding packing dimensions,
since it was a used set and I didn't want to use the box dimensions for the
set (screenshot 1). After adding my custom packing dimensions in Step 2, I went
to Step 3 to verify that everything I added was correct. I then noticed that
in the section that showed the packing dimensions, it said the dimensions were
in "mm" (screenshot 2) not in "cm" (as seen in screenshot 1).
If this could be fixed so that both say "cm" I would be most appreciative.

This leads me to a second problem/bug I encountered. After seeing that the packing
dimensions were labeled as "mm" I hit the "Edit this Item" button
at the bottom of the screen to return to the previous screen (Step 2 (Select
Item)), just to make sure I wasn't seeing something wrong. Step 2 lists the
packing dimensions in "cm", so it was just a typo between Step 2 (Select
Item) and Step 3 (Verify Item).

However, I noticed something else that was now wrong. All of the packing dimensions
that I had input were multiplied by 10. What was "14 x 13 x 4" was now
"140 x 130 x 40" (Screenshot 3). I went to Step 3 (Verify Items) again,
and now it listed the dimensions as "140 x 130 x 40 in mm" (screenshot
4). I repeated the steps above, and the packing dimensions would keep increasing
by 10x every time I would go back and forth between Step 2 (Select Item) and
Step 3 (Verify Item). (See screenshots 5, 6, and 7).

After seeing that this would keep happening for as long as you repeat these steps,
I wanted to know if these new dimensions would be kept if I added the item to
my stockroom inventory. So I added the set to my stores stockroom inventory,
and when I went to look at the set in my inventory it had custom packing dimensions
of 1.4 million cm x 1.3 million cm x 400,000 cm. (screenshot 8).

I tried adding another set to my store inventory to see if this bug was reproducible,
and yes it did happen again.

After I post this message, I will be correcting the dimensions of the set that
I added to my inventory. I find this bug funny more than anything, but I can
see how it can be annoying and confusing as well. Hopefully others are able to
reproduce this, and it is not only affecting me. I also hope that this bug will
not be hard to fix.

Thanks for your time,

Alizarin

Did you try typing "14.0" and "13.0"... with a decimal at zero?
Maybe that forbids it to add it's own zero?

In shipping methods dimensions are in cm, so I'd say it's in cm here
also - but really I didn't check. Try searching for "dimension" or
such in Help?

Thank you for clarifying that dimensions are in centimeters, not millimeters.
I was just bringing the typo to everyone's knowledge. It doesn't really
affect anything other than that.

As for the packing dimensions, I just tried typing "14.0 x 13.0 x 4.0",
and the same thing would occur. It would initially show up as "14.0 x 13.0
x 4.0" on Step 3, but if you went back to Step 2 it would increase to "140
x 130 x 40". I also tried giving the dimensions a decimal value other than
0, and the bug still occurs. It would go from "14.5 x 13.6 x 4.4" to
"145 x 136 x 44" and so on.

I will say that I don't think this is a major site breaking bug. I find it
quirky and funny more than anything, and it is easy to work around. I just think
it is funny to think about adding an item that is multiple kilometers tall, wide,
and deep. I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention, so everyone
can have fun seeing how large they can get the custom packing dimensions.
