According to both Brickpedia and March 1998 Lego Mania magazine,
the original Hydronaut and Stingray mini-figures did have names:
aqu030 is Navigator Hip "Muddy" Waters
aqu031 is Captain Hank Hydro
aqu011 is Crystal Miner
aqu013a is Commander Manta Ray
aqu014a is Navigator Stinger Ray
aqu012a is just an ordinary Raven Ray
Should someone re-name these Bricklink pages?

Please provide images from the LEGO Mania magazine to support your request.

Cheers,
Randy

(Looks like Brickipedia likes to use Brickset and BrickLink minifigure images
without attribution or permission. *tsk tsk*)

That magazine is available on the second page of
https://archive.org/details/LEGOManiaUS-MarchApril1998-Miniland/page/n1/mode/2up
The character names there are much handier than those currently used by Bricklink,
so maybe someone could change them if they know how to change Bricklink entries.

Should be Waders and not Waters
