| Dear BrickLink,
What a great website! So much LEGO all in one place. I've begun to add my
current sets to my inventory. But, I've noticed that if I make a mistake,
and accidentally add sets or parts as "New" when they are actually "Used" there
is no way for me to modify that inventory. I have to delete the old inventory
item(s) and add new ones.
But, since your site reminds me every time I part out a set, there is no way
to bulk delete items from a particular set. It would be tremendously helpful
if we could modify our inventory, piece by piece or set by set, so that we could
change the status of a set/piece as "New" or "Used."
I hope this is something you can deliver for us.
Again, great site! It is my go-to spot for anything LEGO!
Enjoy building! Thanks!

You are correct that they is not way to use your inventory to select all items
of a given set. I don't see this ever becoming an option. There are a few
things that you can do though to help with the problem that you are running into.
If you are always loading parts of a certain condition "new/used", then you
can modify them in your inventory if they were added correctly using the this
link (https://www.bricklink.com/inventory.asp?itemView=6). Select the condition
to modify and then in the radio selections below make the update and apply it
to the bulk lot. Additionally if you are like me where 95% of my store is used
parts, you can modify your defaults for populating parts here (https://www.bricklink.com/invOptionsAdd.asp)
and select the conditions for your loading. Hopefully this will help you get
started.

I didn't even pay attention to that. When I first joined, I started the
seller process to use as my inventory of sets and stuff before I became an actual
seller. I just though they were doing the same thing. Didn't even notice
that there as a new "My Collection" section.

| I believe this is referring to My Collection, not a store inventory.

Maybe try This:
Part out the same Set with the count -1 and the same (wrong) state (new) as
before then you get your original inventory. Then you can part out the set again
with the state used.

| Hey! That was a great idea, but the site does not allow negative numbers. Also,
because I’m not sure which sets were parted out as new, I still have to search
by each piece, determine which set it belonged to. Right now I have about 1200
“new” parts in my Collection that ought to be “Used.” Even if I could go part
by part—as long as that might take—it could still be manageable.
Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions, friends. And yes, this has to do with
“My Collection”—not a store inventory.
