I was looking for a yellow duck(ling) in the catalog parts section animal ‘water’
and ‘air’ (since ducks can fly and/or swim I didn’t find it odd to look at these
sections, maybe ducklings aren’t capable of flying but the last time I saw a
few of them they were swimming).
I couldn’t find it so I looked in catalog colors at yellow and saw the duck can
be found at the parts ‘land’.
In my opinion these youngsters aren’t land animals but water or air (debatable)
animals.
Should this be changed?

Apparently, they spend 75% of their existence in water. Known as "birds of the
ocean" (Never heard that phrase before, I like it )
A good find.
They spend 75% in water and most of them spend the rest of their time on frozen
water. I know, not all of them, some spend some time on solid ground.

Just a random anecdote, newly washed ducks (from an oil spill) sink in water
and need to be observed for weeks until they can swim properly

In most sets that part is meant to be a toy rubber duck, not an actual live duckling,
so it would make more sense to place it in the Minifig Utensil category.

Yep, that is a good one too.
Let’s not keep it simple…

As a compromise, put it in food.
But it's not a regular type of food, so we'll have to create a new Part
category: Minifig food, delicacies.
