Hi - I have a few windows that are clearly Lego and the catalog number is clear.
The number is 6159 but when I search for it only the set 6159 comes up, not
the part. I am doing the search wrong or is it not in the catalog? Thanks

Bricklink will add suffixes to item numbers if they have more than one color,
a print, or consist of multiple parts attached together (such as this piece).
Search 6159 with an asterisk and the correct listing should pop up.

Hello,
You mention that the pieces are clearly LEGO. Are you able to see a LEGO logo
in the studs?
There's something that seems a little "off" about that window piece to me,
so I'm wondering if it's not actually a LEGO-brand piece.

YES - that is it!
I did not try putting an * behind the number as I assumed (incorrectly) that
6159 would be there.
THANK YOU!!!
