I've been reading elsewhere that LEGO changed the box art, and presumably
sticker sheet, for set 42141 (McLaren F1).
I don't see any notations about this in the Bricklink catalog entry. Will
there be a dash1 and dash2 entry ... eventually? How long does it typically take
for such to happen?

The stickers are getting a redesign.
LEGO made the set using the 2022 car, but with the 2021 sponsors. So there are
licensing issues.
I would assume it would get a -2 entry only if there were major changes to the
parts or a re-issue. But if it is just changes to the box art and instructions
those would just have a note added.
The new stickers would be added as a counterpart.
That being said, the original would be rare and drive up the price affecting
the price guide. So maybe it would be a good idea to give the update a -2 entry.

If the box gets a complete redesign so that it is very easy to tell it apart
from the original release, then we will give the set a new entry.
I know we've had our forum 'disagreements' from time to time, but
just a question.
If they are changing the sticker sheet for licensing agreement reasons, how can
they NOT change the entire box as it shows the car WITH the old stickers on the
parts?
BTW...just checked BL and there are NONE for sale here in the US....
Better get an older version quick eh?

I don't recall any, but maybe you have a better memory than me.

Very true.

I don't really collect or buy any LEGO for resale value. I just get things
that I either really like or things to fix BrickLink set inventory data. In fact,
nothing LEGO-related has ever left this house once it has entered it. A true
LEGO black hole.
I will be getting this set, though, at some point in the future. Whether it is
the original version or the updated version, I care not. I am a Florida Gator
alumni, so the orange and blue livery on the model look stunning to me, and I
want it on display in my office.

Did a little searching... looks like it will be easy-peasy to tell the difference
on the box. I would agree with a -2 entry, to keep prices from blurring together.
Thanks!
