Some buyers optionally include it in their address. I think anything like this
has to be optional, as I don't want sellers using it for other reasons. I
used to include it on ebay until I got a seller texting me telling me to leave
feedback.

Making phone numbers required has been suggested a few times. If this is important
to you please take the time to search for and vote those older suggestions up
too. You never know when the BL dev. team might be able to fit in something other
than tax updates.

I believe there is a way to add your phone number to your BrickLink account,
I do not know how to do this and I do not see the option to in my account info,
but I have noticed a lot of the orders I get from newer buyers show their phone
number on the order details page. I have never used it as a seller, but as a
buyer I am sometimes asked to provide a phone number for insurance purposes.
As for the tracking number, if you paid via PayPal, you should get a shipping
notice when the seller prints the label, if not you can message the seller and
ask for the tracking number, it may just be that there is no tracking number.
