I've been going through and uploading all my Duplo to inventory, and came
across a weird discrepancy. I have 2 vintage parts with the 4883 mold stamp,
but an open hitch end like 2312. I also have another 2 that are stamped with
3884, instead of 4883, but are also the open hitch end. See attached photos.

Congratulations you have found probably on of the oldest catalog error on Bricklink.
I have tried to fix this it once. But did not get a responce for it that time.
Part number 2312 & 4883 were incorrectly entered in the database from the beginning
(they switched places) as there was no number on the part back then not until
mold 13.
If a catalog admin read this Please switch the part numbers on those two, the
text and picture are correct.

And i forgot to write that 3884 is 4883 molded the wrong way, you need to look
at it through a mirror,
