These are all classified as weapons, however, they more look like either bars
or utensils to me!?
thoughts?
I looked through the instructions of the sets in which these pieces are a part
of, and I think I found the problem. These 3 pieces are not used as weapons or
in the construction of weapons in any of the 5 sets but come in a Multipack of
14 pieces in which the other parts ARE used as or in weapons. So while they are
not weapons; for catalog it makes sense that they are filed as such.
The part is "Minifigure, Weapon Pack Guns, Circular Saws, Nozzles, Mechanical
Arms, 14 in Bag (Multipack)"
If you look in the 76166 Avengers Tower you can see the pieces unbagged and shown
in the instructions at the same time as you are building a weapon for a minifigure.
The first set 76122 Batcave Clayface Invasion from 2019 has 2 of them as piping
on a wall and the 3 not even present in the instructions and in 71741 Ninjago
City Gardens it appears as if only one of the pieces from the multipack is used.

I agree. These parts should be recategorized.
David
But then where to categorize the multipack that they're part of? Because
multipacks are also considered "parts", and parts have a category. If a multipack
consists of parts of different categories, it would be difficult to decide where
to put it.

Hence, why they are all where they are currently at.

I think considering those bags of parts as "parts" is absolutely silly. If those
bags had never been entered into the catalog as a "part," then we wouldn't
have the current problem.
