this item

[P=24305pb02,55]

displays 24304 (see attachment) in the mold but 24305 in the catalog thus entering
24304* will yield no search results. What is the reason for the item no. being
off by one?

I assume the reason is due to the fact that the LEGO Design ID for
[p=24305pb01]
is 24305: https://brickset.com/parts/design-24305

Since that was the first one entered into the catalog, whoever added it just
used the LEGO Design ID instead of actually looking for the mold number in the
part.

Now that we know the mold number from your image, I will update the numbers here
to reflect the real mold number.
