Would be nice to see something in the seller responsibilities about notifying
buyers of missing parts BEFORE shipping.
It's not just one seller. I've had this happen at least a few times.
10 lots... one expensive rare item. Seller messages me with "oops, couldn't
find it" along with tracking number 😒
I don't really see the point. If it is policy then a seller that wants to
keep the order when they have a missing part will "accidentally" miss the missing
part when packing and leave it to the buyer to inform them. Whereas decent sellers
will already inform the buyer before shipping if they know a part is missing.
Yeah, that's a good point. I'd rather find out as soon as I can so I
can plan accordingly.
Yeah, and any decent seller will tell you before and also hopefully what they
can offer to rectify it, including cancelling the whole order if that is what
the buyer wants.

That's a big issue around here. Some sellers don't communicate because
they have decided missing parts are just part of the deal. Or, they don't
want to deal with the consequences of having to wait for a buyer to get back
to them. On the flip side, a few buyers get really annoyed when you do this.
Why didn't you ship my order anyway? I needed the other parts right away,
etc.
You could include a note on your orders: "Please inform me of any inventory problems
prior to shipment, please." Who knows? It might help.
It might be nice to have some standard policy checkbox to help with conforming
expectations.
