Hard to say without known colors next to it to compare
At first glance it doesnt look like dark turquoise to me, more like yellowed
blue, or even another case of brittle blue.
New part or found in a used lot?

Hope this helps....from right to left Blue, Brittle Blue, Unknown, Dark Green.....
I also cant list it as "Dark Turquoise" because that color it is not even listed
on the part page in ALL colors.....
Came from a used bin.....

Even with the known bricks, I think it is more of a sun bleached brick. The
Dark Turquoise is a little brighter than your image from my experiences. I attached
a pic from my color chart that has some of the knows that you see in your image
for contrast as well.

The green doesn't look green and the blue doesn't look blue. It is really
hard for me to calibrate my eyes.
...as has been mentioned, it's a faded Blue (aka "Brittle Blue"); I recently
sorted a bunch of curved slopes from a sorted lot I'd purchased this year,
and there were tons of this particular item in Blue that had faded to Brittle
Blue (the lot contained a large ziplock bag sorted by color with just this part
in Blue, and the fading was really noticeable when they were all together)...

Precision: all faded Blue parts aren’t Brittle Blue parts. Brittle Blue parts
are brittle, they break easily, and I believe their production was rather recent
(post-2000 I think) or at least limited in time.

Literally brittle or not, that item in Blue can definitely fade darker (brittle,
sunburned, whatever)... and that particular part was produced post-2000, regardless
of color (though I have never really experienced the "brittle" issue others seem
to find in parts, so I am somewhat ignorant to that issue)... essentially, I
was just attempting to use familiar vernacular that had been mentioned prior...

That’s understood
That’s why I “precised” that “Brittle” really means brittle: just use the parts
and they break.
Otherwise, faded parts are like the non-faded ones, it’s just discolouration
(or rather, re-colouration, as it’s yellowing: more yellow not less “original
colour”).
Note that there’s another Brittle colour: Reddish Brown, but this one affected
NEW parts and, IIRC what I read on the forum, it was produced during the LOTR
sets.

Dark Red from that era can be just as bad; I've had building sessions where
I'll go through 10+ 1x1 tiles just to find one that doesn't split in
half as soon as I place it on a stud. :I

Yes, I forgot about the Dark Red. Bad period, glad I missed it

Yes, I've had the same problem with 1x3 tiles and clone trooper arms from
9488.
