Is it possible to have an option to retain the original "Date Added" for lots
when they are consolidated? I would find this feature extremely useful in helping
me determine what items in my inventory are aging and not moving.

Example being: If I have a lot of 100 yellow 3004 bricks that were originally
loaded 2 months ago and I upload 50 more today and want to consolidate lots,
from what I can tell is the the old lot "date added" is overwritten with the
new upload date. I then lose visibility of when I originally loaded the parts.

If there is a way to find this out that already exists, does any know how I can
get to that information?

You can choose not to consolidate lots, then search for non-unique items and
consolidate manually.

I am new here, but I have never known the original date of a lot to change when
you added more to it via upload. Perhaps this only occurs if you use the BL
part out function? I never use that as I consider it broken, anyways. I prefer
to use BrickStore software.

Also, when a lot has activity, it gets updated with last-sold info. A lot that
does not have that means you have never sold any.

For example, see the image.

Pure speculation here, but I think it only happens when you consolidate lots.

True, but the upload date matters, too. A lot that was just added today but has
not yet sold is different than a lot that was added years ago and has not sold.

  For example, see the image.

The original poster appears to be seeking that kind of information -- old
lots that haven't sold. A new lot added today is not what is being sought
after.

On the seller INVENTORY Page, one can search for old lots simply by inputting
the number of days old of lots they wish to see -- for example, lots that
are 500 days old.

That is also true, but the problem that the original poster appears to be having
is that when you consolidate lots—say, for example, when adding parts to your
inventory manually—BrickLink replaces the original date added with the current
date. So, a lot that appears to have been added today may be in reality years
old, and currently there's no way to tell.

Never had this happen to any of my lots that I have noticed.

I added to this today.

DING DING !!! Sounds like the correct answer to me. I believe the original
poster is just mistaken and wrong. Lot dates do NOT change, with or without
consolidation or otherwise.

The End.
