I've got this brick, and it doesn't match magenta and it also
doesn't match known purple bricks that I have reference from set

Set No: 7825  Name: Bucket
*
7825-1 (Inv) Bucket
500 Parts, 2002
Sets: Creator: Basic Set

Is the picture below showing "light purple?"

In the lighting that is shown, it looks like it might be magenta, purple, medium
lavender, or dark purple. From the image that is shown I find it unlikely
that it is light purple.

It's definitely not any of those 4.
I'll get a better picture with those 4 colors next to it later.

It looks like Purple, from here, to me. But, I agree a picture with other colors
next to it might help firm that up.

Yes. Even with the poor lighting, I can tell it is Light Purple.

I've had this for sale as a magenta brick since June 2019. Good thing no
one bought it.

Magenta is not a rare color, but Light Purple is. I bet you sell it faster now.
