Today I saw that the printed Leg in our inventory got marked for deletion. I
saw that even more are marked likewise. Is there a reason behind it I missed?

I imagine that it is because they are different to arms and hands in that if
you remove legs from hips then you almost certainly damage the hips, whereas
hands and arms can be more successfully exchanged.

This is awkward. Presumably you must now list it as an incomplete

As leg assemblies are not being inventoried, perhaps these parts not appearing
in any inventory are now being deleted. I've never really understood why
leg assemblies cannot be inventoried.

Hm Okay.

I actually was unable to locate that part anyway. Maybe we'll find it someday.
So I deleted it. I will remember that for the future.

Thanks for clarifying

If printed ones are removed, why are plain ones not being removed?

Part No: 972 Name: Leg, Left
*
972 Leg, Left
Parts: Minifigure, Body Part

Surely these suffer the same problems as printed ones when taken apart.

Yep, that is a good one if not a really good one!

I agree with you.
I see a lot of chewed on legs, plain and decorated, it should be nice if you
can replace them for a lower price than a complete assembly.

In fact, there is no reason at all why arms and hands can be sold apart while
decorated legs cannot be sold separately.
And if someone makes up a reason it would be valid for the legs too.

I find hands and arms can be removed and replaced multiple times without getting
loose. Legs, wobbly after one removal.

legs, arms and hands are sold from the Legocompany themselves, in solid colours
without print.

So they can stay,

Well, I hope that they don't delete the non-printed versions, because when
I get large lots of used pieces, I end up with lots of misc. legs.
But I definitely would rather have all printed legs added to the catelog.

As far as the printed legs and hips go I have a feeling its probably just a case
of them being a bit overkill and somewhat of a burden on the catalog to keep
updated and maintained especially when you consider how few people probably search
for them. The thing is those that do search for them are unlikely to find what
they need anyway which makes the whole process of searching for these sub parts
unreliable and not very worthwhile

I guess its a bit different for the plain colours as they have far more uses
and are easier to manage and maintain in the catalog
