The additional note on the item states "This entry has been temporarily marked
for deletion to prevent further sales of counterfeit train rims." This decision
obviously came from the BrickLink level and not the catalog/inventories admin
team. I would contact BrickLink directly to see when the entry will be made available
again.
why not mark all this items for deletion as well?
How could someone tell the difference between real or fake LEGO part like
hoses, rubbers and train rims?
It is quite obvious why there are many reproductions, the original ones are all
long gone and not useable anymore. So, I prefer the term reproductions instead
of counterfeit.
IMO this is going too far, to try to prevent selling reproductions of this item.
All that will be achieved is that reproductions are going to be sold as original
because no one can prove they are not.
TLG plans to reproduce these trainrims themselves again??

it is prohibited according to the bricklink tos "sale of counterfeit and copies
is not allowed" I do not see why there should be an exception for this product,

Sure, rules are rules. However, there are also exceptions to rules. This product
is not produced any more by TLG by a long time so why not make exceptions?
But where there are buyers there are sellers and they will find a way outside
of BrickLink to trade this item

The buyer has the right to know if the item he/she buys is original or counterfeit.
At the same time, there are certain parts or stickers that are almost all perished
and TLG does not produce them any more. So what option collectors have?
Here, without trainrim, 12v motors do not run.
I hope Bricklink can make expections for few parts like trian rim and add an
extra entry as "counterfeit" so that people can sell and buy them.
Of course, if a custom-entry is possible but a seller still list a counterfeit
item as original, it would be a violation of TOS.

Er, I’m not sure “Yes your honor, we are selling counterfeit but it’s all okay
and legit because we wrote ‘counterfeit’ on it!” will do.
