I got this piece as part of an auction buy. It's a genuine LEGO piece, plate
4x8, but I cannot identify the color. It's not Tan, nor is it Bright Light
Yellow, it's lighter. I thought it might be Light Lime but there's no
green tint to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe very yellowed white from years of sunlight exposure?

No, not yellowed white. I've had several pieces like that recently, but this
color is consistent throughout the piece. I've looked at several color charts
and I believe it to be #33 Light Yellow but nothing shows this piece coming in
that color.

I've come across some older parts that were yellowed evenly all over, including
the undersides, likely due to breakdown of chemicals in the piece rather than
sun exposure. They were produced before Light Yellow existed.

I’ve got to agree, that plate looks pretty darn old looking at the studs and
logo, I’m leaning towards yellowed.

Besides being a yellowed white plate (as other have mentioned,) the only color
it could be is original Light Yellow. Is it an even yellow color on both sides?

Yes, it is. I've looked at just about every reference site for LEGO colors
and not one of them shows this piece (plate 4x8) coming in the original Light
Yellow.

I've decided not to list it for sale after all anyway. Just going to keep
it on my desk as a mystery piece!!
