Personaly I do think this set only comes with doors with thin handles. Much to early (1968) for the other door handles (see also https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1197077). Instructions show thin handles and this is a set I bought as a child, which has ...... thin handles! But I add the doors with thin handles as alternate, unless you are convinced, then I will change them to regular.

I don't think the set came with anything other than thin-handled doors, either.
You can go ahead and submit new change requests to have the doors replaced.
