I’ve recently started going through my childhood Legos, and am trying to match
up all of the sets. On set 1067, the BrickLink inventory shows one of the minifigures
as “Jacket with Zipper - Black” (part #973p0ac02). However, I found another person
online who is showing that minifigure as “Torso Police Leather Jacket, White
Badge, Zipper Curved Pattern” (part #973pb0079c01). Can anyone verify which it
is supposed to be? I have both, so that doesn’t help me narrow it down. And to
add to the confusion, the BrickLink site says there are supposed to be 12 envelopes,
but the part listing on the build instructions I have shows only 6 envelopes.

It looks like this inventory was compiled from the parts lists originally, so
the inventory should show what is on the parts lists barring any concrete evidence
from an original set. If you have the building instructions for this set, would
you mind sending high quality scans or photographs of the parts lists on the
building instructions to the inv@bricklink.com email address?

Cheers,
Randy

I emailed the photos requested. Unfortunately they do not show inventories for
some of the additional people and accessories (bicycles, motorcycles, etc.),
which includes the minifigure I am trying to determine. I am hoping someone else
may have this set and be able to confirm which one it is?

Thank you very much for the photos. Materials for Dacta & Educational sets are
not easy to come by.

Unfortunately they do not show inventories for some of the additional people and
accessories (bicycles, motorcycles, etc.), which includes the minifigure I am trying
to determine.

I was wondering about the same thing, but I am glad to have confirmation of it.
It may be hard to determine what was originally included in the set, but we can
try.

I am hoping someone else may have this set and be able to confirm which one it is?

A large majority of BrickLink users do not visit the forums. Combined with the
fact that sets such as these are much harder to find information for, an answer
to your initial question may not be easily forthcoming. We can both hope that
someone can help.

Cheers,
Randy

After extensive searching on google images, I have now found photos of another
person’s set that shows the minifigure listed on BrickLink’s inventory list (with
zipper only). Unfortunately, that part of the box photo isn’t clear enough to
determine what the shirt should look like, but I think that the badge would be
large enough to show up in the photo of the box if it had one, which leads me
to believe it is only the zippered shirt. But it would still be nice to get a
more definite answer.

The BrickLink site has been a great resource for me in looking up information
about my sets. This particular set is kind of funny because when I first pulled
out my stack of instructions and came to these, I thought, “what on earth is
this and where did it come from?” When I looked up the set number and saw the
Dacta category, it came back to me. We were on vacation and for some reason had
stopped in this store that sold educational toys and supplies. And I remember
seeing this set and thinking it was a great value, since it was much cheaper
than a set with comparable pieces/minifigures that would have been marketed for
regular consumers. So that’s why I decided to get it. (Most of my sets were in
the “town” category.) It’s kind of ironic that now it’s such a rare bird.

I found images that show the set contents on the box, and it definitely seems
to show the torso without the badge. It also shows six envelopes. These images
might not be conclusive since LEGO does tend to use similar parts in sets when
they run out of certain parts, but I think the images are good enough for now
for you to feel comfortable with the torso without the badge. I will go ahead
and update the inventory with respect to the envelopes.
