| Not sure if this has been brought up before, but is there a possibility to have
more options for listing used items? For example, I was shopping around for a
few hard to find, relatively expensive minifigs and in searching I notice from
lowest price to highest the Used ones of course are usually listed first, and
I appreciate sellers putting descriptions to help out, but most listings under
Used simply don't have more details. Especially if we are all using stock
photos, it's hard to discern between used minifigs when all have the same
stock photo and just listed under "used." Honestly, I just don't take a chance
on those and look for used with a description that has "like new" or "adult owner,
never played with" "displayed only" "great condition." etc.
Again, sellers have to type in those descriptions, but can there be options such
as "used - like new" "used - heavy playwear" etc. to give more accurate listings?
I guess a store's front page can be a good place to generally describe your
items too. Just a thought and if it's easier like it is then so be it and
I will advise sellers to try to give good descriptions for used expensive items

| I've had mixed results too.
I've bought bricks from a seller just labelled used and they've been
like new, from another labelled exactly the same and they've gone straight
into my scrap bin.
Some labelled as normal wear for age and they've been gauged, bitten numerous
times or absolutely covered in scratches, not light wear marks or odd scratches.

Indeed. I bought a load from a seller just recently - it was used, but had no
other descriptions. I expected it not to be pristine r new-like, but the stuff
I got wasn't even good enough to be classed as filler. It was pretty much
all bin-fodder to me.

| I think it is a (very) difficult one.
What I think is ‘in a not so good condition’ can be called good by another seller
(or maybe the other way around but since I am a real nitpicker this would rarely
happen...).
I bought minifigs that were mentioned ‘in very good condition’ that I had to
send back due to scratches and dents.
I did not need my readingglasses to see the problems.
Therefore I guess a lot of sellers have different ideas regarding the condition
of the Lego they sell.
So, in my opinion, sellers should mention the condition when needed or at
least when there is (more than average) playwear or if something is in really
good to newlike condition.

Are we talking about the sellers who class Incomplete sets as Complete or Used
minifigs as New (“because I never played with them, I only built them and exposed
them in the sun and dust for 20 years”)?

| It’s not too difficult, I mean over on BrickOwl they manage to give used items
different condition levels & it works very well.

| I've never understood the lack of grading descriptions on items, especially
figs. I know I often sell a fig at a good price because I'm the one with
the description when there are lots of cheaper ones with no notes.
I know personally I don't buy figs without descriptions unless I absolutely
have to.
I grade my instructions too, same thing. I don't understand used, expensive
items with absolutely no comments on it.
To each their own I guess.
