Box and instructions say Upward.
Wow. I never noticed that the minifig catalog photo has the chevrons downward.
Which is odd because in the minifig inventory, the vest shows them upward. But
it is a sticker so it could well be misplaced on this minifigure of the catalog
photo.
Mine is printed and is faced upward. I will take a photo.

Thank you, I have that Minifig documented as belonging to the set 670-1 indeed
and I didn't have the habit of swaping minifig parts, so in my mind it is
100% accurate.
I still may have the box and/or instructions. I will look for them in my next
visit to my hometown and will keep you posted.
Now, is this the only set where the printed vest appeared?
