I am trying to recompose different sets from a huge pile of lego as authentic
as possible, so I try to use time-period specific parts for older sets. An example
is the copyright symbol (sometimes together with text, e.g. "lego group"): I
do not want to use them in older sets.
I am able to date a lot of characteristics (in which mould numbers are very helpfull)
but I have difficulties in finding out when lego started to use the copyright
symbol. I know that lego used older material as long as that was available so
a precise date will not be possible, but perhaps some estimate? to prevent newer
parts in old sets?
I hope somebody can give me a clue.

thanks! Those characteristics I knew but it is handy to see them in an overview.
But the period in which the copyright symbol appeared is still a questionmark
to me.

at @WoutR
thanks! However, I have a boat with oars from a set somewhere around 1990, and
it has the copyright symbol on it (on both the boat and the oars). I thought
it was too modern (one of the reasons for my question) but I am quite sure those
are the original boat and oars. Perhaps an exeption?
