I intentionally bought a set a week ago that isn't in our catalog and I've
been waiting for it to arrive, but it hasn't. Meanwhile, I opened up a banded

Set No: 9725  Name: ROBOLAB Amusement Park Set {1998 Version}
*
9725-1 (Inv) ROBOLAB Amusement Park Set {1998 Version}
284 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 2 Books, 4 Gear, 1998
Sets: Educational & Dacta: MINDSTORMS: RCX
that DID arrive today and soon realized I have something strange on
my hands, so I would appreciate any assistance anyone can offer. The catalog
entry on 9725 says it is the 1998 version, but there is no other version in the
catalog. This one has a piece of paper that says 2002 on it. The inventory
is largely identical, but 3 out 5 minifigs are different, all the grays are bluish
and several other pieces changed color. So I guess it is 9725-2?

Notably, the large card that makes for an incomplete parts list has the old minifigs
and the old color variants. I had everything unsealed before I realized, but
I have everything together.

Also it contains at least one part variant unrecognized in the catalog.

It is quite normal sttuation for Dacta sets they are know for many changes
in inventories through their production timline.

Check this situation for example:

Set No: 9252 Name: Large LEGO Basic Set (1994 Version)
*
9252-1 (Inv) Large LEGO Basic Set (1994 Version)
626 Parts, 6 Books, 1 Gear, 1994
Sets: Educational & Dacta: Universal Building Set

Set No: 9252 Name: Large LEGO Basic Set (1991 Version)
*
9252-2 (Inv) Large LEGO Basic Set (1991 Version)
608 Parts, 8 Minifigures, 6 Books, 1 Gear, 1991
Sets: Educational & Dacta: Universal Building Set
And check those two threads

Yes, I would have a new catalog entry created.

Cheers,

I added the new set with a pic.

The next question is still for both Inv and Catmin. These are the minifigs that
came with it. The INSTRUCTIONS are from the 1998 version. So 2 of these minifigs
are built according to instructions. The other 3 are my best guesses at what
replaced what, but there is no supporting material to substantiate them. Should
I create these minifigs? Should I just include 2 minifigs and then some minifig
parts? All minifig parts? The complication on the latter option is that the
heads are already attached to the torsos.
